This sucks :(

I’m Jewish and I wish we could not throw people in the street and let them live in peace. This family doesn’t look like they could ever do any harm to anyone. What a marvelous family. Dumb government. One day we will be able to stop it and welcome the peaceful families back and live there together. I have family in Haifa and they don’t like this ugly act either. Free Palestine. Israel- your beauty come from Palestine only, wake up. Stop cleansing and start appreciating.

Exactly!!! no one seems to recognize that when a baby is born the mom is cut BAD! and so what!? If I ever have a son he will be circumcised because frankly not circumcised in my own opinion is sickening (I don’t care if you “wash it”). A penis wearing a turtle neck is not my cup of tea. Most women prefer it to be cut! I am one of them and I would damn sure never accept an uncut one. Just sayin..yeah it’s that serious. Some people have things that are essential to their “Relationship” this is one of them. So it hurts for a second…oh well, when I push out a baby they cut me without any numbing and stitch me up. But I’m the bad guy? please

A Haggadah for the Internet Age

In their new Haggadah, Foer (who edited the text and accompanying commentary) and Englander (who translated the traditional Hebrew and Aramaic text) take delight in the book’s complexities, and they use its contradictions to celebrate the act of reading itself. This is a Haggadah one must literally grapple with: it is large enough that sitting at a crowded table, you’d have to hold it against your body and spread your arms out to keep it open. The text runs in multiple directions: there is the traditional Hebrew text and a parallel English translation printed vertically. At the top of most pages, printed horizontally, there is a time line enumerating signal events in Jewish history—to read it, you have to turn the book clockwise by ninety degrees. The commentary to the main text is contained on horizontally printed pages that require turning the book another ninety degrees, this time counterclockwise, and you encounter blocks of closely printed text floating on the page, inviting a mood-dependent dive-in.
All this crisscrossing text and rotating of the book make us aware of its material qualities—its generous proportions and visual amplitude—while also linking to the kind of reading we do on the Internet, skipping around, following our instincts, finding unexpected connections. It’s a version of the Haggadah particularly suited to our age of distraction, and yet, it also demands serious attention. The turning of the book brings to mind a famous phrase about the Torah by the Talmudic rabbi Ben Bag-Bag: “Turn it and turn it, for everything is in it.”

actually no…”Jew” is the religion of every race and ethnic background ever. Apparently you people haven’t met an Arab-Jew, and African-Jew, and people who are Jewish that are in fact darker than most Arabs. In America the only ethnic options are A: White B: Black C: Hispanic D: two races E: Asian/Indian/ West Indian ….and that’s it. Where is everyone else? How do you define “white”? Jewish is a religion not a race, even though every person in my ancestry was Jewish, it’s still just a religion, unless you are a Levy.

1. respect is earned anyway, but when you take pictures like that and then get mad when guys look at you like a slut or expect sex from you it just makes you look stupid. Of course your not going to get respect if your purposely flashing your boobs. You complaining about how “annoying” it is that guys look at you naughty is dumb. Cover up and you wouldn’t have such a problem. Respect yourself and earn respect in return.

How about no. People fucking deserve respect no matter how they fucking dress. Take your three-year-old attitude elsewhere.

Erm, because you can show off your boobs and still have stuff like intelligence and empathy that are worth respecting?

Stop degrading the act of sex by calling it “opening your legs.” I’m so sick of women being degraded all the time. Because women just, you know, lay back and “spread their legs” and let men do whatever they want. They don’t take any active role in the actual sex act or enjoy it. They are just objects that lay there with their legs open. Then they are stupid because through poor judgement or mishap, they became pregnant. The man is never blamed or shamed or degraded for having sex. There are no phrases used to degrade the act of a man participating in a sexual act, at least not a heterosexual one.
I swear if I could punch people in the face for saying “they shouldn’t have spread their legs” I would. I don’t even care if they are someone in my family or my friends. That is how fucking pissed I get when people say hateful shit like that about women.
No issue is black and white. Women have abortions for many reasons. Shit happens. The fetus ends up being deformed and would not live; the woman just ended a previously stable relationship; the woman or couple has children already and cannot afford any more at the moment; The couple may have used birth control but it failed; the woman just found out she has a serious illness and will not be able to carry a pregnancy to term; the woman was raped, etc.
So fuck you and your hatred of women. Negativity about sex is disgusting and harmful.

I secretly love how this protest against the banning of contraceptives (i assume over those numbnuts politicians that believe safe sex will lead to intercourse out of wedlock or something) is actually the act of practicing abstinence lmfao
This is so fucking meta right now I can’t even handle it. But on a “serious” note:
>implying that men will go nuts without sex for one week
laughingvirgins.jpg
Try a year long sex strike and perhaps then men would start getting anxious.
It’s interesting to me that the exercising of the apparent power of sex is what’s being used here in this campaign. Do the planners think that sex is that powerful? The assumption that the denial of sex would actually wield that power to bring change seriously fascinates and dumbfounds me.
It also reminds me of the NO FAP NOVEMBER thing. But that was a bunch of video game buds (figuratively) circle jerking in their basement over the idea that it’s a triumph to avoid masturbating for 30 or so nights. All those threads, day after day, of the dwindling number of /v/irgins battling their urges everytime a linetrap thread would pop up. That wins the award for sadness.
If this reproductive rights thing actually works out, perhaps /v/ can have a fap strike against bobby kotick or something.
